Job Summary
Operate and monitor food production and packaging equipment for frozen fruit, ensuring safe, compliant manufacturing while maintaining accurate records. Set up machinery, replenish materials, and adjust check weighers, metal detectors, and codes as needed. Perform daily setups and shutdowns, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain good housekeeping. Relieve associates and work in all production areas, including varying temperatures. Maintain appropriate raw material levels to minimize downtime and identify visual defects. Work any shift, overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as box markings, labels, schedules, safety rules, GMP's and general instructions
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing process and equipment
- Ability to work in a high paced environment
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to operate manual and motorized pallet jack and walkie stacker
- Must be able to pass job specific Physical Ability Test (PAT)
- Must be able to stand for 8+ hours on concrete and/or metal grating
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 60 lbs. on frequent basis
- Must be able to bend/stoop/squat/twist, kneel and turn throughout workday for varying lengths of time
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms below shoulder level to above shoulder level
- Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 40-47 degrees Fahrenheit
- Must be able to squat and/or kneel and to bend on frequent basis
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
- Employment is contingent upon drug screen, background verification and skills test required for some positions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous operating experience preferred
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
