Job Summary
Production Technician I performs calibration and functional tests on subassemblies and end items of moderate complexity in accordance with established procedures, and conducts more complex testing under close direction to support high-volume production. Responsibilities include interpreting work orders and engineering drawings, calibrating units (potentiometer adjustment, shimming, gear adjustments, etc.), performing automated and manual testing with equipment such as oscilloscopes and hi-pot testers, and generating non-conformance reports with root-cause investigation results. Works to support CBS initiatives (5S, KPI, Standard Work, problem solving) and may be required to work overtime. Requires the ability to learn new test software and equipment, and to work in a manufacturing environment. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, or equivalent educational background
- Ability to learn test software and equipment; identify non-conforming conditions in equipment and product
- Proactive problem solving
- English written and verbal communication skills
