Job Summary
Assemble mechanical and electrical components using hand and power tools while performing advanced troubleshooting with diagnostic equipment. Program network components, conduct moderate failure analysis, and serve as a liaison between Production and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues. Provide training and mentorship to ensure proper workmanship, review manufacturing documentation for accuracy, and maintain compliance with all company standards. Ensure product quality through inspections and verify compliance with engineering requirements while keeping the work environment clean and safe. Support overtime, evenings, and weekend work as required.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of hand-on experience working in an electronics or electromechanical assembly environment
- 4+ years of experience as a technician working on electrical/mechanical assemblies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- In depth knowledge of assembly and subassembly processes with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs
- Skilled in fabrication using standard hand tools and measuring equipment
- Knowledge of basic computer technology and ability to work with test software/firmware
- High mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics
- Ability to distinguish wiring colors and identify electronic components
- Must be familiar with testing equipment, firmware loading, and software tools
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb ladders or access elevated equipment
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be flexible and willing to support other process areas as needed
- Ability to support overtime, evenings, and weekend work when required
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in QC or sensor systems preferred
- 4+ years of experience with industry workmanship standards preferred (IPCA610 for soldering, IPC/WHMAA620 for wire/crimp, etc.)
- Experience assembling or working with circuit boards preferred
- Experience creating test plans and test procedures is preferred
