Job Summary
Production Technician at Corteva Agriscience (Algona, IA). On-site role focusing on harvest, conditioning, return/rework, quality analysis & control, field management, and warehousing activities (including forklift operation). Requires High School Diploma/GED (or ability to obtain GED within hire timeframe) and a valid driver’s license. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work rotating shifts, and tolerate overtime/weekend hours during seasonal peaks. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years in manufacturing/production/agriculture, associate/bachelor’s degree, knowledge of lean manufacturing (5S, CI, Standardized Work), leadership experience, automation/PLC experience, and forklift operation. VISA sponsorship and relocation assistance are not offered. Emphasizes safety and teamwork, with data gathering for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED OR GED within specified time frame of hire
- Experience with computer systems and programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime including weekends
- Two or more years of on-the-job manufacturing, operations, production, agriculture, or related experience (preferred)
- Associates or Bachelors degree (preferred)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Continuous Improvement, Standardized Work) (preferred)
- Experience with automation controls/PLCs (preferred)
- Experience operating fork trucks (preferred)
