Job Summary
Conduct seed receiving, conditioning, treating, packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations while operating production equipment under established procedures. Assist with field activities including inspections, scouting, planting, and detasseling, and manage bulk seed movement and inventory. Prepare containers and packaging materials, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain housekeeping standards in production and warehouse areas. Complete production paperwork accurately, verify product and shipment accuracy, and adhere to safety and quality protocols. Work assigned hours and shifts, including overtime and seasonal schedules, to meet operational demands.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Must meet MVR guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time
- Ability to work assigned hours and shifts, including overtime and seasonal schedules as needed
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions
- Ability to walk seed fields up to five miles per day
- Ability to safely operate equipment and machinery used in production operations
