Job Summary
Maintain and repair ladles and vessels; relining with multi-components the AOD vessels, bottom pour ladles, transfer ladles, and fabricate stopper rods; perform lining removal and re-bricking; move ladles, vessels, and refractory materials using an overhead crane; follow Ladle Refractory Flow Charts; chip and clean old linings; monitor and meet process and quality requirements; lift up to 50 lbs; participate in safety, health, and environmental programs; update refractory applications; collect data; support lean initiatives (6S, visual management, Kaizen); perform other duties as directed; requires good reading, writing, mathematical and verbal skills; education high school diploma/GED.
