Job Summary
Greet donors, assist with unloading trucks, and sort, inspect, and price donated merchandise according to departmental goals. Hang clothing on racks, document production sheets, and operate baling machines or forklifts as assigned. Palletize, wrap, and track materials for transport while maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area. Follow Dell Reconnect standard operating procedures and wear appropriate safety gear. Stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly in a warehouse environment with occasional outdoor exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to accept instructions and carry them out with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work and cooperate with others.
- A criminal background check is required.
- Forklift operation requires company-specific certification.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with a variety of individuals.
- Proficiency in completing assignments accurately and on time.
- Ability to visually inspect, sort, and grade merchandise, including distinguishing colors and condition of donated items.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle, sort, and process a variety of donated goods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with donors, customers, and team members.
Desired Qualifications
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction) preferred.
