Job Summary
Operate and oversee complex production machinery, including mixers, fillers, sealers, and packaging systems, while configuring settings for varied production runs. Monitor line performance to improve efficiency and quality, perform routine maintenance, and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Mentor junior operators, troubleshoot equipment issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste. Work the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime potentially required. Required Qualifications
- Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs over an entire shift
- Ability to physically perform repetitive motions of grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to work in a hot, humid environment when performing sanitation tasks
- Ability to use knives to cut open bags and dump 50lb bags at a high frequency
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a food processing or production environment is preferred but not required
- Experience in a kitchen, food service, or manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experience with food preparation or handling is beneficial
- Familiarity with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP practices is helpful
- Food safety certifications (e.g., ServSafe) are a plus, but not required
