Production Team Manager

Job Summary
Manage a team of 10-20 operators and line coordinators to achieve safety, quality, volume, cost, and behavioural expectations while escalating deviations. Lead training, appraisals, attendance reviews, and disciplinary investigations; optimize production plans and manage order-related documentation. Analyze electronic data on safety, quality, cost, and people; participate in improvement projects regarding productivity and behaviour. Motivate the team to meet scorecard targets including first-time-right performance and changeover times. Conduct one-to-one reviews, return-to-work interviews, and file performance improvement plans. Develop training plans to align lines with production demands and organize procedural updates. Escalate decisions as required and complete handovers within contracted work time.
Required Qualifications
- Numeracy and literacy skills to at least Level 2 Maths and English
- Competent in MS Office software
- Working knowledge and understanding of safety principles in the workplace
- Experience of supervision, ideally in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods environment
- Has demonstrated consistently the company core values and performance pillars (or equivalent for external candidates) over time
- Demonstrates clear communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to internal, and occasionally, external stakeholders
- Ability to listen to and influence others
- Must be able to conduct handovers to colleagues and participate in meetings when required (ideally within contracted work time)
Desired Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs at or above level 4 (or equivalent) including English and maths
- Working knowledge of quality systems in a regulated environment
- Recognised supervision and / or continuous improvement qualification
