Job Summary
Lead the Coating Team to ensure customer satisfaction while driving business objectives in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost-effectiveness across your assigned shift. Enforce all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, lead incident investigations, and implement corrective action plans. Initiate operational improvements to minimize scrap and increase efficiency through Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) activities and Kaizen events. Oversee daily team activities, including coaching, performance reviews, and resource planning, while executing standard operating procedures and conducting safety audits. Troubleshoot process equipment issues and collaborate with technical and materials support teams to optimize manufacturing processes. Manage a 2-2-3 night shift rotation (6:00 pm - 6:00 am) in an on-site manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 3 years leadership, process improvement and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations systems (best practices), processes and technology
- Demonstrated ability to achieve operational results and ability to accomplish work through delegation and teamwork
- Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot and effectively problem-solve issues and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems
- Demonstrated effective time management, project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to promote and protect Avery Dennison Values of Integrity, Courage, External Focus, Diversity, Sustainability, Innovation, Teamwork and Excellence
- Familiarization with ELS (Continuous Improvement) principles and knowledge of lean sigma tools
- Must complete a comprehensive background check
- Must successfully complete a drug screening

- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering or a related field
