Production Team Leader (Stamping) - 1st Shift

Job Summary

Lead the 1st shift stamping team by enforcing safety rules, quality procedures, and operational standards while ensuring presses run efficiently and parts are handled correctly. Coordinate daily production schedules, verify part checks and micrometer readings, and initiate corrective actions for defects using the SNAP process. Supervise associates through training, coaching, and motivation, ensuring all documentation, time sheets, and PLEX records are completed accurately. Manage rework, control waste and scrap, and address equipment or process issues immediately to meet customer demand. Maintain a clean, organized workspace with daily 5S activities and verify all start-up and shutdown checklists are signed off.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Twelve to 36 months related experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent to draw and interpret mathematical data
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop and twist throughout shift
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as required to meet business objectives
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be passionate, highly motivated individual to lead a Stamping team
  • Must be self-starter with own continuous improvement agenda
  • Must have an energy level and attention to detail that routinely delivers expected results
  • Must carry out their routine responsibilities as well as other assigned tasks by motivating associates positively and constructively whenever possible
  • Must take initiative to be proactive, solve problems and overcome obstacles necessary to complete work
  • Must follow up and communicate appropriately
  • Must actively participate as Leadership to assist in informing associates of Safety, Quality and/or production issues that are passed down from supervisors
  • Must be forklift and crane certified within 6 months of starting position
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
