Job Summary
Direct and motivate the production team to ensure smooth donation functions, inventory control, and adherence to agency procedures. Fulfill staff duties as needed, including greeting donors, unloading vehicles, processing items, and maintaining merchandise quality for the sales floor. Enforce store safety and security protocols while assisting with complaint resolution. Provide input for associate interviews and performance evaluations, and train new workers to develop their full potential. Maintain proper staffing levels within budget constraints and assist with accurate work recording and time attendance monitoring. Requires supervisory experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 40–50 pounds frequently for prolonged periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 6 months of supervisory experience
- Successful completion of GGW's Aspiring Manager and Employ Excellence Programs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to read and comprehend internal documents related to store operations
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift)
- Ability to lift up to and between 40 – 50 pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous experience in the area of transportation production
- Ability to coach and direct employees
- Ability to gracefully adapt to periodic and rapid change
- Fluent in English and Spanish
