Job Summary
Monitor and ensure a smooth production process for all donation functions, inventory, control, and adherence to agency procedures. Fulfill duties of production staff as needed, including greeting donors, unloading vehicles, completing receipts, and sorting donated items. Direct and motivate the retail team comprising donation attendants, processors, and sales associates while enforcing safety and security procedures. Assist in settling complaints, participate in associate interviews and performance evaluations, and develop efficient work methods. Maintain proper staffing within budget constraints and record departmental work accurately. Requires high school diploma, six months supervisory experience, and ability to lift 40–50 pounds frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 6 months of supervisory experience
- Successful completion of GGW's Aspiring Manager and Employ Excellence Programs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to read and comprehend internal documents related to store operations
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift)
- Ability to lift up to and between 40 – 50 pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous experience in the area of transportation production
- Ability to coach and direct employees
- Ability to gracefully adapt to periodic and rapid change
- Fluent in English and Spanish
