Job Summary
Oversee daily Work Cell operations by conducting cell walks every two hours, performing Gemba walks, and inspecting one-shot operators to ensure quality and safety compliance. Identify and correct safety hazards, manage scrap waste streams, and investigate production anomalies to reduce downtime and labor variances. Lead weekly TPM meetings, approve machine start-ups, and ensure proper shutdowns for end-of-run, no-op, and holiday cycles. Support operator skill development, enforce labor density plans, and escalate operational issues to the shift supervisor while maintaining ISO, TPM, and GMP standards. Perform cell walks at shift exchanges and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or relevant experience
- Previous experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, military or industrial environment
- Ability to challenge the status quo to facilitate continuous improvement
- Ability to collaborate across roles and diverse groups, gather and share feedback
- Ability to stay current in best practices and be a continuous learner
- Ability to plan and manage routine maintenance
- Strong communication, presentation, planning and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, reports and memos
- Ability to write correspondence and reports

- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage
