Job Summary
Production System Manager leads safety, quality, and continuous-improvement initiatives at a high-capacity manufacturing facility. Builds and maintains a safe work environment, ensures compliance with GMP and FDA/cGMP requirements, drives Lean/CI programs, and partners with CI, Capabilities, Reliability, and Engineering teams to optimize assets and processes. Responsible for setting objectives across safety, quality, housekeeping/5S, customer service, and cost management; closely collaborates with Plant Manager and other leaders to align with strategic site objectives, develop budgets, and deliver performance improvements. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering or business, 10+ years of related experience, and strong leadership of cross-functional teams in manufacturing with the ability to travel up to 15% for benchmarking. Industry background includes consumer-packaged goods manufacturing (e.g., Huggies, Kleenex, Scott) and a track record of implementing safety programs, quality systems, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in engineering, business or relevant discipline
- 10+ years of equivalent related experience
- Leadership of a multi-functional team
- Experience in Operations, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Maintenance
- Ability to travel up to 15% for benchmarking and best practices
- Experience in multiple plants and product systems is highly desired
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to develop and manage budgets and drive cost savings
