Job Summary
Operate packaging equipment per training and SOPs while maintaining daily production rates, machine settings, and quality goals. Monitor product code dating and finished cases for compliance with GMP, OSHA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines, reporting any improper coded product or manufacturing issues immediately to management. Record all required data and daily production records in the Oracle system, handle packaging line paperwork, and monitor stock levels to communicate product needs to the warehouse department. Maintain clean work areas, assist in sanitation, train employees on equipment operation, and enforce all safety procedures and company policies. Report personnel problems, quality concerns, or food safety issues to the QA Manager or Director of Packaging as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Minimum of 3 months related work experience
