Job Summary
Hybrid Production Support role combining Ink Technician, Plate Mounter, and Plate Maker; responsibilities include mixing ink and matching color to standards, delivering ink/varnish to presses, proofing inks, mounting and filing plates, maintaining the plate room, and assisting press operators. Requires color vision and the ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions; operates platemaking equipment and uses measuring/color systems. Shift is 1st, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM at Plant 4 in Phoenix, AZ; starting pay is $23/hour with pre-employment drug testing; may require overtime to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of high school education or equivalent
- Pre-employment drug test
- Ability to operate platemaking equipment (platemaker, plate finishing machines, plate cutter, electronic scriber)
- Ability to mix inks and adjust colors to match color standards
- Proficiency in reading and following simple written and oral instructions
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds as needed
- Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements and safety procedures
