Job Summary
Deliver accurate ingredients to the production area, handle products on the line, and manage packaging materials while removing debris. Perform clean-in-process (CIP) tasks as required, relieve operators when needed, and maintain GMP standards across assigned work areas. Adhere to all SOPs, report food safety and quality issues immediately, and wear necessary personal protective equipment including Kevlar gloves and safety boots. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment involving constant standing, exposure to loud noises and extreme temperatures, and frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Maintain accurate records and operate machinery safely while ensuring a secure workspace consistent with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety training, and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
- Ability to use various tools (band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knife and scales)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and keep up with daily demands of production
- Constant exposure to extreme loud noises
- Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts
- Constant standing and moving by foot
- Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment
- Frequent lifting/carrying <50 pounds, reaching and use of fingers
- Frequent use of hot/cold water hoses
- Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending
- Occasionally lifting >50 pounds
- Potential exposure to caustic chemicals
