Job Summary
Lead and supervise production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely manufacture of high-quality ropes while coordinating daily operations across fabrication, assembly, material handling, and shipping. Monitor production performance, labor utilization, and equipment utilization to meet schedules and ISO 9001 quality standards, driving continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives. Conduct employee training, performance evaluations, and coaching to develop a high-performing workforce aligned with WireCo's values and Business System behaviors. This role requires standing and walking throughout a 10–12-hour shift in a manufacturing facility, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating or overseeing production equipment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience, including at least two (2) years in a lead, team lead, trainer, or supervisory leadership role
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, and workforce management
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and waste reduction principles
- Ability to interpret production schedules, engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing process knowledge
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and production reporting systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
- Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related discipline
- Seven (7) or more years of progressive manufacturing experience
- Experience supervising multiple production lines, shifts, or departments
- Experience in fabrication, wire rope, cable, metals, industrial manufacturing, or heavy manufacturing environments
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification
- Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment
- Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or SAP
