Job Summary
Manage daily work assignments and schedules to meet productivity goals while monitoring production activity and troubleshooting process issues. Assign tasks to employees, inspect parts and finished products against quality standards, and oversee equipment maintenance to keep production running efficiently. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, TTC standards, and government regulations by communicating clear expectations and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Train staff on latest techniques and safety procedures, fostering a culture of trust and accountability through honest communication and ethical behavior.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations manufacturing or distribution environment
- Basic understanding of the supervisory principles to include problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Effective verbal and written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient software application skills
- Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and regulations
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Ability to meet required goals and adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to walk and stand throughout working hours, up to 10 hours
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse, and other simple tools found in common industrial and office areas
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in supervisory or team lead role
- LEAN or continuous improvement certification
- Preferred Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Kronos, Workday
