Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achieved in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Coordinate workflow, staffing, and resources while monitoring performance metrics like throughput, downtime, and scrap to implement corrective actions. Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees through training, performance management, and regular feedback sessions to foster a safety-first culture. Promote and enforce safety regulations by conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring full compliance with all policies and PPE standards. Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure products meet all quality specifications by partnering with the quality team to resolve production issues. Work Monday to Friday onsite at 100 Thermon Dr, San Marcos, TX, with flexibility for nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and driving performance
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and operational metrics
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift) in a manufacturing environment
- Frequent use of hands for operating equipment, handling materials, and performing repetitive motions
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs or ladders as needed
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, dust, and machinery
- Visual acuity to monitor production processes, read documents/screens, and identify safety or quality issues
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other safety gear
- Capability to respond quickly to emergency situations and maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced setting
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP or production management systems
