Job Summary
Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees while troubleshooting molding and processing issues on the injection molding floor. Diagnose and resolve equipment concerns, partner with Quality to address defects, and maintain production schedules based on priorities and capacity. Ensure company policies, safety expectations, and ISO 9001 standards are followed consistently. Coordinate startups, tool changes, and staffing needs including call-offs and overtime. Serve as a technical resource for operations, understanding machine capabilities, tooling, and various resin processing requirements. Support performance management, cross-training, and corrective action development.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of injection molding industry experience
- Strong hands-on knowledge of injection molding processes
- Experience troubleshooting molding and processing issues
- Strong understanding of machine capabilities, tooling, and production processes
- Knowledge of various resins and their processing requirements
- Production scheduling and planning experience
- Strong quality and process-improvement mindset
- Ability to coach and develop production employees
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous production lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- ISO 9001 experience
- Experience with Layered Process Audits (LPA)
- MRP experience
- Experience developing corrective actions and response plans
