Job Summary
Production Supervisor oversees and directs all functions within a designated production area in a swing-shift, on-site setting. Responsibilities include supervising and training personnel in safety, sanitation, quality, and production procedures; coordinating with Production and Plant Managers to align production schedules and staffing; documenting daily production records and reporting shortages or variances; managing procedural changes due to personnel, equipment, or customer specifications; developing methods to improve production results; enforcing policies, SOPs, GMPs, and union rules; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires hands-on leadership, strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of label/casing equipment, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic controls, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems; ability to work 3pm–12am shift and operate in a union environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Operations Management or related field
- 2+ years management experience in production/manufacturing environment (knowledge and experience may be substituted for a degree)
