Job Summary
Prepare yard work orders and production schedules while managing yard stock transfers and coordinating pole schedules for framing, cutbacks, recalls, drying, and treating. Manage and direct production employees, ensuring hours are entered accurately into the payroll system and completing payroll reports. Work with the outside sales team to support customer orders and coordinate off-sales activities. Participate in cycle counts, annual inventory counts, and the Health and Safety Committee to identify issues and implement solutions. Schedule third-party inspection requirements and prepare operational reports. Assist with annual budgeting activities. This role supports daily production activities and shaving requirements at the Kirkland, Ontario facility, reporting to the Director of Operations.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years of related production or industrial experience
- Valid driver's licence
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective time and stress-management skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing work assignments
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate employees
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with production, sales, and other internal teams
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of utility pole and customer standards is an asset
- Knowledge of Ontario health and safety standards
