Job Summary
Staging/Whole Bird Production Supervisor leads and supports a team on the staging area and whole bird line, ensuring safe, efficient daily operations and on-schedule production. Responsibilities include overseeing shipment verification, maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing products for shipment, supporting waste-recovery processes, ensuring quality under USDA and company standards, driving yields and throughput while reducing downtime, coaching and developing team members, ensuring HACCP, SSOPs, and GMP compliance, and maintaining accurate end-of-shift documentation. Requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role is a 2nd shift position at the Waverly, Nebraska plant, and involves supervising a diverse group of hourly personnel and ensuring a food-safe operation aligned with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred
- 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred
- Poultry experience preferred
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Supervisory responsibility for a diverse team performing related tasks
- Physical requirements capable of meeting job demands with/without accommodation
Desired Qualifications
