Job Summary
Review production orders and schedules to plan department operations, then oversee work teams to ensure efficient accomplishment of goals. Prepare daily production schedules, coordinate activities to meet specifications, and resolve operational issues to prevent delays. Develop and monitor training programs for manufacturing personnel while encouraging cross-training and career progression. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, LEAN projects, and corrective action processes to maximize results and reduce costs. Ensure all employees follow Quality Assurance Procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- AA/AS degree
- BA/BS degree
- 5-10 yrs. experience
- 3-5 yrs. experience
- 5 years supervision/leadership experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations in assembly, machining or processing
- Knowledge of problem solving skills
- Knowledge of assembly, machining or processing practices and procedures
- Ability to supervise and delegate work to direct reports
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to use Microsoft office suite of products and other operations software
- Ability to develop and present presentations
- Ability to apply lean tools and principles
- Ability to create effective teams
- Active pursuit of a degree
