Job Summary
Direct, schedule, and monitor staff workflow to coordinate safe production of quality corrugated sheets in a clean environment. Plan, assign, and direct work while appraising performance, resolving conflicts, and coaching employees to improve. Manage manufacturing processes by setting variables, observing control points, and implementing cost reductions. Compile and analyze production data to establish priorities, revise schedules, and report shift results. Enforce safety policies, conduct monthly audits, and maintain equipment by evaluating repairs and new techniques. Facilitate crew meetings to review quality, performance, and safety topics. Validate daily time sheets for payroll processing and create systems to improve operating practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 10 years' manufacturing experience
- Minimum 5 years' corrugator experience
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to use a computer
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
- Able to understand and speak English one-on-one and via hand-held radio
- Regular and predictable attendance
