Job Summary
Supervise and lead daily munitions assembly operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved. Communicate daily production objectives, priorities, and performance expectations to the production team while monitoring activities and providing regular updates on operational performance to management. Ensure the efficient operation of advanced manufacturing processes, optimize productivity and resource utilization, and hold employees accountable for established work processes and workplace expectations. Coach, mentor, and develop team members through training, feedback, and performance management, while supporting recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new production team members. Champion the Saab 6S program by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Review, approve, and manage employee timekeeping and attendance records on a daily and weekly basis.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a production environment
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime or alternate shifts, as needed to support production demands and customer commitments
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a munitions manufacturing environment
- Experience in advanced manufacturing
- Associate or bachelor's degree in advanced manufacturing, Aeronautics, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Experience in using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and align teams to achieve organizational goals
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, by example, motivate teams, and build positive, productive working relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
