Job Summary
Supervise and lead daily munitions assembly operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved. Monitor production activities, communicate daily objectives, and provide regular updates on operational performance to management. Coach, mentor, and develop team members through training, feedback, and performance management while holding employees accountable for established work processes. Champion the Saab 6S program by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment and identify continuous improvement initiatives. Review and manage employee timekeeping and attendance records daily. This role requires a U.S. citizen with a Secret security clearance and five years of experience in munitions manufacturing. Located in Grayling, MI, the position offers a salary range of $80,900 - $101,100 with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a munitions manufacturing environment
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a production environment
- Associate or bachelor's degree in advanced manufacturing, Aeronautics, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including overtime or alternate shifts, as needed to support production demands and customer commitments
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a munitions manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Experience in advanced manufacturing is preferred
- Experience in using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is preferred
