Job Summary
Plan and execute production schedules while directing job assignments to Production Team Leaders and Operators. Allocate resources to minimize downtime, prioritize workload against company and customer objectives, and monitor job efficiency and quality. Review daily cell goals, identify root causes for missed targets, and assist in troubleshooting production jobs. Prepare product shipments by reviewing internal material travelers and documents. Control timesheets, work with Quality on improvement programs, and oversee safety practices. Supervise new employee selection and training, provide coaching, and communicate shift activity regarding equipment and process changes. Conduct performance appraisals, manage conduct issues, and maintain professional team relationships.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Experience with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Must be able to communicate to both management and staff clearly and informatively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computer operations and programs such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Access or other data tracking systems
- Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills and methods
- Ability to work independently and creatively
- Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years technical experience in Manufacturing environment
- 3 years progressive supervisory experience
- Associates Degree
- Familiarity with ISO and FDA Compliance
- LEAN Certification
