Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee hourly plant teammates on the shift, providing coaching, training, discipline, and scheduling; maintain a safe work environment with PPE and housekeeping focus; collaborate with other departments to resolve technical or scheduling issues and communicate across shifts; ensure production schedule adherence to maximize efficiency and meet customer requirements; control department labor cost and overtime; lead Lean and continuous improvement activities (kaizen, 5S); meet setup and cycle time targets; ensure teammates receive necessary training; uphold quality standards per IATF 16949; ensure accuracy of production paperwork and inventory; perform additional duties as assigned; requires leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to work weekends/alternate shifts with flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in management or business preferred
- Minimum three to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Record of supervisory experience and accomplishments
- Solid understanding of quality requirements
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong people skills including communication, attention to detail and organization
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements and manpower planning
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S and kaizen, root cause analysis, problem solving methodology and SPC
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in management or business preferred
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- solid understanding of quality requirements (e.g., IATF 16949)
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S and kaizen

- ability to plan, coordinate, and direct production control activities
- familiarity with safety, health, and environmental requirements
