Production Supervisor - Pre-Cast

Job Summary
Supervise General Labourers and Skilled Workers in a unionized environment while ensuring all product orders are manufactured according to safety and quality standards. Plan and assign personnel based on daily production requirements, revise schedules as needed, and track daily labour against targets. Inform the Plant Manager of foreseeable issues regarding safety, quality, schedule, or cost, and report shift production results accurately. Coach employees to maintain high-quality output, analyze worker issues per collective bargaining agreement, and implement process improvements through team engagement. Maintain time and labour allocation sheets, inputting attendance data into Microsoft Excel and Kronos. Liaise with other departments to meet internal and external customer expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in the capacity of a supervisory role
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a unionized environment
- 2 years of experience working with precast concrete
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and review engineering plans
- Must be proficient with MS software programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Desire to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer-focused environment
- This role follows a nonrotation shift schedule, however a flexible schedule is required as per the business operational needs
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering technology experience is an asset
- Experience with Kronos is an asset
