Job Summary
Conduct daily safety audits, perform problem-solving activities to eliminate hazards, and escalate immediate safety concerns. Monitor line pace to ensure takt times are met, review daily schedules to achieve goals, and plan for team member absences. Document and discuss internal quality issues while escalating external ones with urgency. Track team morale, coach members on KPI metrics, and participate in new hire interviews and cross-training plans. This split-shift role (Monday-Thursday, 11am-9pm) requires a high school diploma and at least two years of production team leader experience. Terex Utilities seeks a leader to drive quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing footprint.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills
- At least 2 years of Production Team Leader experience
- Effectively communicate with all team members, both written and verbal
- Organizational skills
- Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate proficiency with MS Word and Excel
- Maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information
- Take initiative to recognize areas of opportunity and resolve with appropriate action
- Identify problems, works towards root cause elimination utilizing appropriate problem-solving methods
- Continuously search for new and better ways of doing things
- Challenges the status quo and sets stretch goals
- Works across boundaries to achieve common goals
- Strives to continuously improve oneself
- Ability to stand/sit for a full 10-hour shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and/or awkward items
- Monday - Thursdays - 11am - 9:00pm work schedule
Desired Qualifications
- AS or BS degree in Engineering (Manufacturing), Industrial Management, Business, or comparable degrees
- Equivalent experience to the degree requirement
- 5 years of production leadership experience
- Formal Lean Training
- Supervision experience
