Production Supervisor

Job Summary

Lead and supervise hourly production employees to safely achieve daily schedules, quality standards, and operational goals within a packaging and containers manufacturing facility. Direct shift activities to maximize productivity and equipment utilization while monitoring performance to minimize downtime and improve throughput. Enforce safety policies, conduct inspections, and investigate incidents to ensure regulatory compliance. Monitor processes for customer specifications, perform quality audits, and lead root cause investigations for defects. Coordinate staffing assignments, train and mentor team members, and conduct performance evaluations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction and cost savings, maintaining accurate production documentation and shift reports. Work rotating night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within packaging, plastics, blow molding, injection molding, containers, or high-volume production
  • Demonstrated experience leading production teams and achieving operational performance goals
  • Experience working in environments focused on safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs including OEE, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, downtime, and throughput
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems or ERP software
  • Night Shift: 7:00pm to 7:00am
  • Night Shift: 7:00pm to 7:00am (Rotating Schedule)

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and operational excellence methodologies is preferred
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
