Job Summary
First Line Supervisor responsible for executing the daily production plan to ensure a quality product is made on time by following site safety rules. Leads day-to-day production activities, communicates production schedules, priorities, and status; leads Tier 1 safety/quality/delivery/cost meetings; coordinates with maintenance and quality; ensures SOPs and Axalta Way behaviors are followed; drives continuous improvement through Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives; develops and coaches a team of 10+ direct reports; utilizes KPIs to monitor performance and drive data-driven decisions; supports problem-solving and process optimization efforts; fosters a positive, inclusive, high-performance team environment and effective cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher; 3+ years team leadership (supervisory) experience in a manufacturing environment
- ability to supervise at least 10 direct reports
- high school diploma minimum (per employer listing)
- read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups
