Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee reinforcing, carpentry, insulation, and stores departments while coordinating workflow, labour assignments, and material flow to align with production schedules. Review engineering drawings and technical documents to guide planning, then collaborate with engineering on custom hardware requirements and support inventory analysts to maintain optimal stock levels. Lead and supervise employees in a unionized environment to meet daily targets safely, enforcing workplace safety policies and quality control procedures. Champion lean manufacturing principles to streamline material flow and train staff through cross-training initiatives. Participate in production planning meetings to contribute to operational strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial supervisory or materials management experience
- Prior experience in precast concrete or similar manufacturing
- Engineering Technology degree or diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
- Knowledge of safety regulations and lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results
- Effective leadership and conflict resolution abilities
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a unionized environment
