Job Summary
Production Supervisor leading a designated production team to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include front-line leadership, organizing training and onboarding, recruiting support, enforcing safety and standards, prioritizing tasks to meet production goals, evaluating stations for efficiency, maintaining clear communication between employees and management, and ensuring flow of raw materials. Direct supervision of department staff with responsibility for training, planning, assigning, and evaluating performance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and stimuli
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with management, employees, and visitors
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
