Job Summary
Coordinate work, train, and supervise 18-30 employees on a 12-hour shift rotating 545pm-6am. Conduct pre-shift meetings, create and modify shift schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and quantity standards are met. Monitor production problems, implement cost-saving improvements, and manage budgets and department goals. Create training plans for new hires, interview applicants, and maintain shift reports and SPC data. Ensure all policies, rules, and procedures are followed while maintaining positive relationships with the team.
Required Qualifications
- Active presence on the production floor; at least 50% of your time during each shift
- Ability to lead, motivate, select, train and instruct personnel
- Good interpersonal, organizational communication and mechanical skills
- Computer skills required for multiple graphs, reports and charts
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts on a 2.2.3 rotation, 545pm - 6am
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- College degree in a related field
- Five years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
