Job Summary
Lead paint, metal, and final assembly teams through daily safety audits, performance evaluations, and individual development planning. Create production plans with line leads to meet customer demand while monitoring visual controls and cycle times. Drive continuous improvement by participating in daily problem-solving, eliminating waste, and leading larger improvement projects. Resolve escalations swiftly and make decisions based on internal and external customer needs. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and consistent adherence to safety policies and Lean Management System standards.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to work in an environment with these types of smells: paint, solvent, and solder
- Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for the full shift
- Full range of motion (i.e., bending, lifting, reaching, working repetitively with some small parts)
- Ability to reach in all directions (up, down, side-to-side, and diagonal reaching), including awkward positions
- Ability to maintain steady hand/eye coordination
- Ability to distinguish and identify wire and paint colors
- Ability to read fine print
- Ability to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, will consider candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree
- Emphasis on Engineering (Manufacturing), Industrial Management, Business, Operations Management, or comparable degrees preferred
- Supervision experience preferred
