Job Summary
Direct assigned production resources to ensure optimum manufacturing performance, minimizing cost while achieving highest quality and delivery levels. Manage hourly direct labor team members in assigned manufacturing areas and shift, effectively coordinating cross-functional relationships to support manpower, materials, and equipment utilization. Lead performance management and hold employees accountable to safety, quality, and production standards. Drive productivity improvement initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within the high-performance manufacturing environment. Requires 1-3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing and 3-5 years in team-based environments.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3 – 5 years' experience in a team-based manufacturing environment
- Strong MS Office and systems background
- Demonstrated ability to lead hourly manufacturing employees, manage performance, and hold employees accountable to safety, quality, and production standards
- High School Diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in wire, cable, extrusion, or related manufacturing environments
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Experience in continuous-process or high-volume manufacturing environments
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field
- Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience may be substituted for formal education
