Job Summary
Production Supervisor responsible for leading a 20+ person production team in a 24/7 food manufacturing facility. Drive safety, quality, and productivity metrics across high-speed automated production and packaging operations. Oversee shift startups, changeovers, and daily production scheduling, while ensuring strict adherence to food safety standards (GMP/FSMA) and quality protocols. Coordinate with maintenance on equipment performance and coordinate cross-training programs to develop frontline staff. Coach and develop team members, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout all shifts. Night shift carries a 10% premium and relocation assistance up to $7,500 is available; the role requires weekend coverage and a 2-2-3 rotation with 12-hour shifts in Burlington, NC.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of supervisory experience, OR
- Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR
- 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience without degree
- Experience in automated food manufacturing, consumer goods (FMCG/CPG), pharmaceutical, or similar regulated environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly automated systems
- Proven track record of team leadership and development
- Experience with quality systems and food safety protocols
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; SAP experience preferred
