Job Summary
Production Supervisor leading the front-line operations in a dynamic meat-processing environment. Oversees the entire production process from yields tracking to real-time adjustments, ensuring safety and USDA/Food Safety compliance, maintaining quality, training and coaching hourly production employees, driving daily communications and objectives, and optimizing workflows to maximize efficiency while minimizing costs. Responsibilities include safety inspections, HACCP/USDA adherence, training on safe operating procedures (including lock-out/tag-out), monitoring yields and variances, leading monthly line meetings, and maintaining equipment and facilities. Travel up to 5% is expected. Degree in Business or related field with 2+ years of experience, leadership experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills are sought; SAP and other plant-management tools are a plus; relocation assistance is offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Experience acting as a lead by providing training, coaching or mentoring to less experienced staff or through managing a process or project
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Willing to travel up to 5% of the time
- Ability to work long hours and weekends when needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Knowledge of SAP, internet tools, spreadsheets, Word, and inventory software
