Job Summary
Production Supervisor responsible for safety, supervising production/operational department(s) or work centers, and ensuring compliance to daily planning, manufacturing and shipment schedules while maintaining quality, costs, productivity and safety. Shift is 3 PM-11 PM. Responsibilities include identifying unsafe conditions and implementing corrective actions, staffing and training work centers, coordinating schedules with Planning, leading safety/compliance initiatives, reducing scrap, improving material handling and setup efficiency, coaching operators, and collaborating with engineering and maintenance to resolve equipment/process issues. Requires 3-5 years of manufacturing supervision experience; 2-4 year engineering/manufacturing technology degree preferred; strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent experience of 3 - 5 years minimum within a manufacturing environment, in a supervisory capacity
- Direct wire and cable experience preferred
- Strong mechanical and process aptitude and working knowledge of wire/cable machinery
- 2 - 4 year degree in engineering of manufacturing technology preferred, but will consider equivalent proven work experience
- Must be a team player and a developer of teamwork within areas supervised
