Job Summary
Oversee daily production operations at the Wheeling facility, ensuring weekly schedules align with customer expectations and master production plans. Resolve technical and production issues while maintaining data integrity in Oracle and monitoring departmental performance metrics. Lead a team of 3+ years in machining experience, focusing on safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement through Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Manage recruitment, performance management, and coaching to foster an inclusive environment with transparent communication. Collaborate with engineers to analyze processes and implement enhancements, ensuring all work orders are accurately closed and production objectives are met.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in Manufacturing Environment
- 3+ years in Machining environment, CNC or Swiss machines
- Experience in Medical/Pharma environments
- Ability to plan and manage various aspects of the operation for the safe environment and profitable growth
- Strong organizational, time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong problem-solving skills: the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions
- Exhibits a high level of energy and possesses excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience teaching and coaching the application of continuous improvement and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel competence
- Working on the production floor of either sitting, walking and standing
- Occasional lifting up to 25lbs
- Monday – Friday, 100% onsite
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations/Engineering or Business preferred
- Rapid Response experience preferred
