Job Summary
Production Supervisor (Machine Shop) on 2nd Shift leads a team of 18-20 machinists in Torrance, CA, with responsibility for delivery, quality, efficiency and budget for a Value Stream. Responsibilities include hiring, training and development, performance management, coordinating with support groups, driving lean and continuous improvement activities, ensuring maximum utilization of personnel and equipment, maintaining safety and housekeeping, managing time reporting, and aligning load with capacity. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years (or Associate's with 10+ years) in a manufacturing shop environment; GD&T blueprint reading; strong supervisory experience; and preferred aerospace/lean/CI experience. Competitive compensation range of $90,000–$120,000 annually, plus relocation assistance, benefits, and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or related field
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing shop floor environment OR Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop floor environment
- Blueprint reading (GD&T)
- Strong supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
