Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Conduct daily walk-around reviews to observe performance, line conditions, safety, quality, and employee coaching. Monitor Key Performance Indicators, review production reports for errors, and document attendance while managing employee hours records. Plan staffing one week ahead, post overtime as needed, and assist with SAP corrections and IT feedback. Lead daily control room meetings, attend shift handovers, and deliver safety toolbox talks. Ensure products meet specifications through quality control testing, manage single event analysis, and respond to near misses or accidents. Drive 5S improvement projects and complete shift reports with process conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least five (5) years of plant experience
- Supervisory experience
- Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office)
- Thorough knowledge of production process to include conversion/extrusion
- Strong leadership skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Effective communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Work in a team-based environment
- Work shift schedule, including overtime
- May be assigned to other shifts as needed
- Shift schedule may include late nights and weekends
- Set and manage multiple priorities
- Complete forklift certification program
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate orally and written in English
- Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
