Job Summary
Directly supervise production hourly employees in manufacturing activities to ensure approved quality products are manufactured and delivered on schedule and within specifications and cost requirements. Lead the work group to achieve on-time production, train staff to achieve standard-and-above efficiency, maintain quality standards, uphold safe work practices and housekeeping, keep machines/equipment in good repair, recommend method/equipment/layout improvements, ensure accurate administrative reports, control absenteeism, scrap and waste, and coordinate with QA and regulatory programs (GMP, SQF, food safety). Coordinate with office staff, support QA in troubleshooting issues impacting product safety/quality, and assist with development projects and new formulations/process techniques to ensure regulatory compliance. Bilingual Spanish is required; prior fast-paced food manufacturing supervision and strong MS Office proficiency are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a plant supervisory position
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Must be able to run production equipment, and work in a cold environment
- Bilingual Spanish
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues in a calm and professional manner
