Job Summary
Lead and manage site plant production to meet internal and external customer requirements while supporting business strategies and financial objectives. Supervise and develop production personnel through coaching, training, and performance management, addressing employee concerns and fostering a culture aligned with operational goals. Ensure compliance with sustainability standards, EPA, IEPA, and MSHA requirements by maintaining accurate logs and reports. Analyze production performance data to reduce bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and communicate findings to leadership. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, support new product development, and implement Lean methodologies to eliminate waste. Coordinate with the Logistics Manager and site Buyer to manage scheduling, material availability, and purchasing issues. Support maintenance teams in minimizing downtime and ensure all processes comply with ISO requirements. Maintain a flexible schedule to support continuous 24/7 plant operations and respond to issues outside standard business hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of people management experience
- Industry experience including Operations, Productivity and Asset Utilization
- B.S. Degree in a technical discipline
- Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, including root cause analysis
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving production issues
- Must be able to acquire complete knowledge of production process and production capabilities with thorough knowledge of equipment
- Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills to be able to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization
- Pre-employment drug screening is required
