Job Summary
Train employees to achieve maximum quality and productivity while planning manpower, materials, and machines to maintain safety, quality, and personnel satisfaction standards. Manage employee performance through positive and corrective feedback, investigate areas for quality improvement and cost reduction, and promote department goodwill through proactive communication. Ensure all reporting requirements are met and that procedures are followed to achieve the highest productivity in a cost-efficient manner. This role requires bilingual skills and experience managing 20+ employees. Pilgrim's processes fresh, frozen, and value-added food products globally.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years of previous Supervisory experience
- Previous leadership skills with 20 or more employees
- Effective communication both orally and in writing
- Capable of independent decision making
- Must have basic computer knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Must be able to work assigned hours/days - including occasional weekends - as required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Verification of employment eligibility by the end of the third day of work
- Drug, alcohol, and background checks (post-offer, prior to start)
Desired Qualifications
- Poultry or food industry experience a plus
- College Degree in related field preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
