Job Summary
Lead and coach a team of direct labors in a cleanroom, focusing on performance, behaviors, product quality, and operational efficiency. Manage work order fulfillment, document operational goals using scorecards, and provide timely performance feedback while maintaining accurate timekeeping. Train new employees and mentor operators on manufacturing processes, equipment, and mechanical skills. Troubleshoot mechanical errors, safety issues, and operating inefficiencies using HMIs to correct process control shifts. Ensure adequate raw material supply, execute equipment validation protocols, and follow standard operating procedures including Good Manufacturing Practices. Interface with cross-functional departments to drive preventative maintenance schedules and implement collective corrective actions. Maintain a clean work environment and identify opportunities for process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 - 5 years of on-the-job manufacturing experience
- Must be proficient in English language to be able to read documentation, communicate, and write
- Multi-language fluency (English, Malay minimum)
- Must be able to operate all Microsoft office applications efficiently – e.g. Excel, Words, Powerpoint
- Strong analytical skill & able to drive towards solutions
- Physically and mentally fit and ready to support Insulet's rapid expansion
- 5S understanding and practice is a must
- Required to stand for at least 80% of working time per shift
- Required to stand for at least 80% of working time per shift, with walking at least 50% of working time per shift
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience running, debugging, and/or maintaining highly automated discrete component assembly equipment is preferred
- Previous experience with technologies such as laser welding, heat staking, ultrasonic welding, and ESD-sensitive devices preferred but not required
- Experience in a start-up production environment is a plus
- Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- Familiarity with manufacturing instrumentation such as optical gauging, video microscopes, micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, dial indicators, and gauge blocks
